The rules of the run.

01Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the TipOff mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App.

02Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use TipOff.
• If you're between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You must not be barred from using the App under applicable law.

03Your account

To use most features, you need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Keep your password confidential and secure
• Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.

04Community conduct

Pickup basketball runs on respect. On TipOff, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
• Post hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit content
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Solicit personal information from minors
• Spam, scam, or commit fraud against other users
• Use the App to organize fights or unsafe activity
• Share illegal content or promote illegal activity

05Content & ownership

Your content. You keep ownership of what you post — messages, photos, stats. By posting, you grant TipOff a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the App.

Our content. The App itself — its code, design, logo, brand, and trademarks — belongs to TipOff Sports, Inc. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without permission.

06Playing safe

• TipOff is not responsible for injuries, property damage, or losses that occur during games organized through the App.
• You're responsible for your own safety and the safety of those around you.
• If you meet players through TipOff, use the same common sense you'd use meeting anyone new.

07ELO & fair play

Our ranking system only works if everyone plays it straight. You agree not to:

• Report false scores or manipulate game outcomes
• Collude with other players to inflate or deflate ratings
• Create multiple accounts to game the system ("smurfing")
• Exploit bugs or use automation to gain an unfair ELO advantage

We reserve the right to reset or adjust any rating we reasonably believe was obtained unfairly.

08Moderation

We review reports from the community and take action when warranted. Actions may include:

• Content removal
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account termination
• Referral to law enforcement for illegal activity

Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours where possible.

09Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Your Data & Privacy → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if required by law. When possible, we'll give you notice and a chance to respond.

10Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that any particular court, game, or player will be available.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TipOff Sports, Inc. and its officers, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or bodily injury during games.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the App is limited to the greater of (a) $100, or (b) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll give at least 30 days' notice via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.

13Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
